Resources

Bibles

There can be no greater resource than having one Bible or more. It’s nice to have one or more versions in hard copy, but these days it’s also really easy to find Bibles online, many of which also include great study tools.

All scriptures quoted on this site are from the English Standard Version (ESV) unless otherwise noted.

Here are some links to online Bibles:

Bible Study Resources

Reading God’s Word is always enlightening in itself, but often it is helpful to reference Bible commentaries in order to gain a deeper understanding of the writings. Always remember that commentaries are not considered to be inspired of God or infallible, and therefore are simply tools to help us with our research.

People

We do not call anyone our “teacher”, “father” or “leader” except for the Christ (see Matt 23:8-10). However that doesn’t mean that we cannot learn from one another. The Bible says that “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another” (Prov 27:17). Many Christians have devoted their lives to talk about the Gospel and scriptural doctrine. There is much to be learned from listening to others and this section lists a few people who you might care to listen to. We should take nothing at face value but rather carefully examine the Scriptures to see if the things we hear are true (see Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1).
